Website Redesign WordPress Migration Multi-Site

MRASRQ — Website Redesign

Full migration off WordPress for a company with offices in Florida and France — two distinct business units each requiring their own child site, with 10 complete homepage design concepts built and hosted live on Netlify for client review.

Project Overview

MRASRQ is an international company operating out of Florida and France, with two distinct business units that serve different markets and require separate web identities. Their existing WordPress presence had grown stale — slow to load, difficult to maintain, and no longer representative of how the business had evolved. The site architecture had also become a liability: a single WordPress install trying to serve two very different audiences across two continents, with all the plugin overhead, security exposure, and hosting complexity that entails. The brief was clear — modernize the stack, redesign the experience, and build a multi-site structure that gives each business unit the focused, independent presence it deserves.

The approach centers on migrating from WordPress to a modern static HTML stack, eliminating the legacy CMS entirely in favor of clean, fast, dependency-free pages. Rather than presenting the client with a single design direction and asking for approval on wireframes or PDFs, 10 complete homepage design concepts were built from scratch and deployed live to Netlify at mrasrq-modern.netlify.app. The client reviews actual live pages on real devices — not mockups, not screenshots. A toolbar switcher lets them compare all 10 concepts side by side and give feedback on specific elements. This approach compresses the approval cycle dramatically and eliminates the gap between "what was approved" and "what was built." The multi-site architecture is baked into the design process from day one, with each concept built to accommodate two distinct child sites sharing a common design language but maintaining their own identity, copy, and audience focus.

The static HTML stack was chosen deliberately for its production advantages. Every design file is fully self-contained — no build pipeline, no npm dependencies, no theme framework, no plugin ecosystem to maintain. Pages load in milliseconds, pass Core Web Vitals without optimization work, and can be deployed to any web host or CDN without configuration. Each of the 10 concepts is production-ready as delivered: the chosen direction becomes the foundation for the full multi-page site without requiring a rebuild or translation from prototype to code. For a company operating across the US and Europe, the performance and reliability of a static site matters — no server-side rendering bottlenecks, no database queries, no WordPress attack surface. The selected concept will be extended into full interior pages for both business units, with content and navigation structured to serve both the Florida and France audiences clearly.

Key Features

WordPress Migration

Full exit from legacy WordPress — no plugins, no themes, no security patches, no database. The new stack is static HTML that loads faster, costs less to host, and has zero CMS attack surface to manage.

Multi-Site Architecture

Two child sites for two distinct business units — each with its own identity, content, and audience focus, built on a shared design language so the brand stays cohesive across both properties.

Florida + France

Content architecture and navigation structured to serve both US and European audiences clearly. Site structure accounts for the dual-geography footprint without requiring separate hosting environments or CMS configurations.

10 Design Concepts

Ten complete homepage designs live on Netlify — each a distinct visual direction. A toolbar switcher lets the client compare all concepts in real time on any device, eliminating feedback cycles based on static mockups.

Zero Dependencies

Every design is fully self-contained HTML — no npm, no build step, no framework dependencies. Portable to any host, trivial to modify, and immune to the version decay that plagues CMS-based sites over time.

Production-Ready

The chosen design concept becomes the foundation for the full multi-page site immediately — no rework, no translation from prototype to production. Interior pages for both business units are built on the approved direction without starting over.
