Dr. Hans Knopp runs a concierge orthopedic and osteopathic manual therapy and pain management practice in West Hartford, CT. The services span hands-on manual therapy, pain management, and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatments for patients across the Hartford, West Hartford, Avon, and Farmington area. This project delivered a new website for the practice on Astro SSR, built to load fast, read clearly, and rank in local search from launch.

The site is around twelve pages plus a growing blog, server-rendered from a Node process behind Cloudflare. Every page ships health-professional Schema.org structured data using Physician and MedicalBusiness types so the practice presents the right entity signals to search engines, and the build pairs with Google Business Profile optimization and local SEO targeting the Hartford and West Hartford CT area. The result is a clean, crawlable technical base that maps directly to how patients search for orthopedic and pain-management care nearby.

Performance was a first-class requirement. The homepage leads with a cinematic, Seedance-generated hero background video, which is exactly the kind of element that silently tanks mobile load when handled naively. Instead, the video is paired with a static poster on mobile and tuned so the Largest Contentful Paint is a fast image rather than a heavy autoplay video. That hero-video LCP work cut LCP from roughly 5.4 seconds to about 1.75 seconds and lifted mobile PageSpeed from 70 to 97 on the real production URL.

Early traction has followed. The site launched around April 2026, and over its first weeks impressions grew from 859 in April to 1,989 in May 2026, with clicks rising from 33 to 48. The practice now ranks around position 2-3 for "pain management west hartford" and "west hartford pain management" — the exact high-intent local queries a concierge pain-management practice depends on. For a brand-new domain, that is a fast, healthy ramp built on a fast site and a clean local-SEO foundation.
