The Old Way vs. The Right Way
Most LAR agents are on subdomain IDX setups, a separate URL that Googlebot treats as a different website. Your listings exist, but they rank for someone else's domain, not yours.
Subdomain IDX
search.yourdomain.com
→ redirects to vendor server
- ✗Separate subdomain, Google treats it as a different site
- ✗Vendor goes down, your entire search page goes dark
- ✗Zero SEO value, listings rank on the vendor's domain
- ✗Slow redirects, mismatched styling, no brand control
- ✗Cannot filter by agent, shows all LAR listings
Native API Integration
yourdomain.com/listings/
yourdomain.com/search/
- ✓Your domain, all listings indexed under your authority
- ✓Real-time LAR data via Rapattoni RESO Web API
- ✓Agent-filtered pages, show only your listings
- ✓Search with city, price, beds, type filters
- ✓LAR attribution built in, fully compliant
How the Rapattoni API Integration Works
Three steps. No vendor subdomain. No iFrame. No client-side JavaScript that Google might skip. Just your domain serving live LAR data.
Rapattoni API Delivers the Data
Your page loads and immediately calls the Rapattoni RESO Web API using an approved Browser Token. The API returns live LAR listing data, price, photos, address, bedrooms, status, in real time. No caching on the server, LAR-compliant.
JavaScript Renders on Your Page
Listing cards are rendered directly on your website using client-side JavaScript. A 1-hour browser cache (localStorage) keeps the page fast on repeat visits while staying compliant with LAR's no-server-storage requirement.
Your Domain, Your Listings
Buyers visit yourdomain.com/listings/, not a subdomain, not a redirect. Your brand, your design, your domain authority. Every listing card links back to your own search page with consistent navigation and contact options.
What's Included
Every Rapattoni IDX integration includes all three pages and all compliance elements. Nothing is sold separately.
Agent Listings Page
A dedicated /listings/ page filtered to your active listings only. Shows price, photo, address, beds, baths, sqft. Ordered by price. Updates in real time as your inventory changes.
Full MLS Search Page
A /search/ page showing all active LAR listings with filter controls: city, property type, min/max price, minimum bedrooms. Results update instantly when filters change.
Homepage Featured Listings
4 featured listing cards on your homepage, automatically pulled from your active inventory. Always shows your most recent listings without any manual updates.
LAR Compliance Built In
Required LAR attribution text is rendered on every page that displays listing data. Listing agent name, MLS number, and LAR disclaimer are all included, server-rendered, not JavaScript-dependent.
Browser-Based Caching
1-hour localStorage cache keeps pages fast on repeat visits without violating LAR's no-server-storage requirement. Cache is keyed by filter state, search results are always specific to the query.
Mobile-First Design
Listing grids, filter bars, and cards are fully responsive. Photo lazy loading is native. Touch targets are oversized. Core Web Vitals pass on mobile with no extra optimization work.
Live Case Study
The Realty Group Online is the first site built on this integration. Teresa Grant, KW Lynchburg, went from a dead subdomain search to live on-domain listings in one build.

Rapattoni IDX Web API access requires LAR membership. I will handle the approved vendor application process as part of onboarding, you do not need to navigate the Rapattoni dashboard yourself.
LAR Data License Compliance
The Lynchburg Association of REALTORS® has specific requirements for how listing data is displayed. Every integration I build meets all of them from day one.
No Server-Side Storage
LAR prohibits caching listing data on your server. This integration stores nothing server-side, all data is fetched live from the Rapattoni API on each page load. Browser localStorage with a 1-hour TTL is used only for performance.
Required Attribution Text
Every page displaying LAR listing data includes the required attribution: "Listing data provided by Lynchburg Association of REALTORS®. All information deemed reliable but not guaranteed." Rendered in HTML, not dependent on JavaScript.
MLS Number Display
Each listing card shows the MLS number as required. This is pulled directly from the Rapattoni API response and cannot be stripped or hidden during rendering.
Approved Vendor Status
I am an approved data vendor for the Lynchburg Association of REALTORS® via the Rapattoni IDX Web API program. Your integration falls under my vendor approval, no separate application required from you.
